MUMBAI: Welcome to Shah Rukh Khan’s new avatar. He dances Rohit Shetty ‘shtyle’ in the new song from ‘Chennai Express’ called ‘One Two Three Four’.
The song starts off with Priya Mani, the South actress who has got a minor role in ‘Chennai Express’, dancing to a band of ‘dafliwale’. Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, is being held tightly by two strong bodyguards. But Shah Rukh Khan somehow makes his way out, and joins in the singing and dancing with Priya Mani.
The entire song is a call to the villagers (and the audience) to just enjoy themselves and get on the dance floor. From the sets, we can see that it is a festive time, and this always calls for boisterous activities. Shah Rukh Khan and Priya Mani know how to get you to dance.
The chorus goes “One two three four, get on the dance floor.” and ends with Shah Rukh Khan and Priya Mani asking the crowd to “Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme some more.” Rest assured, this is a new look for Shah Rukh Khan, and Rohit Shetty has really shown his mark here.
Surprisingly, Deepika Padukone is nowhere to be seen. Wonder where she is hiding.
The song is composed by Vishal-Shekhar, who have composed music for past Shah Rukh Khan films like ‘Ra.One’ and the previous Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’. The lyrics are by in-hot-form lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, whose words in ‘Badtameez Dil’ from Deepika Padukone’s last film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ were on everybody’s lips.
Will ‘One Two Three Four’ be on everyone’s lips? It’s too early to say, but if we were to hazard a guess, we’d say it’s going to be the next party hit. Now get on to the dance floor everyone and give Shah Rukh Khan some more!
