More photosMUMBAI: It was a night to recognise and celebrate the contribution of women who have made a mark in film and television. The WIFT (Women in Films and Television) organised a felicitation ceremony for the women National award winners this year.

Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut joined hands to felicitate the women winners, in trademark Bollywood style. Imran was nattily dressed in a crisp steel grey blazer and white shirt-and-trousers, as he took to the stage to honour Assamese filmmakers Manju Bora for her award winning film ‘Ko:Yad’. Accompanying Imran to the event was his beautiful young wife Avantika Malik.

Imran’s aunt (Aamir Khan’s wife) Kiran Rao was also present at the occasion.

Speaking about the delay in release of his upcoming ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2’, Imran categorically said “Nobody can take the place of Salman Khan,” because the delay in his film’s release was to avoid a clash with the mighty Tiger at the box office, during Eid.

Kangana Ranaut, sexily clad in a strapless azure blue number, presented the felicitation to Dolly Ahluwalia, for her National Award winning performance in ‘Vicky Donor’.

Zoya Akhtar put in a brief appearance as well, to cheer her fellow female filmmakers.

Also spotted at the felicitation night were award winners Usha Jadhav, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anurag Kashyap (minus his gorgeous wife Kalki) actor Kabir Bedi, Jackie Shroff, singer Sona Mohapatra, filmmaker Krishika Lulla, Maheep Kapoor, Vikramaditya Motwane and columnist Shobhaa De.
