Kareena Kapoor Khan who is soon going to enjoy the phase of motherhood had to face a trouble when she came to know that her income tax account has been hacked. Kareena filed a complaint against an unidentified person for hacking her Income Tax account and filing a false return claim. According to the sources, the complaint was filed by her Chartered Accountant Pradeep Thakkar.
Reportedly, Thakkar complained to the BKC Police Station and told that the imposter used Kareena’s PAN card number and password to file her income tax returns on the government website. The cyber police are currently investigating how the imposter got access to the details.
An FIR (CR No. 141/16) has been registered under section 419 (cheating by impersonation) of the Indian Penal Code read with 66 and 66 C of the Information Technology Act which deals with identity theft i.e. use of computer dishonestly, fraudulently and making use of electronic signature, password or any other unique identification feature of any other person.
If the sources are to be believed, Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s account was hacked in the month of August and the imposter illegally uploaded the false income tax return for 2015-2016. Kareena Kapoor Khan came to know about the incident when she went to file her income tax return for this year.
The police sources are currently finding out if anyone known to the actress has leaked her password and PAN number.
