[tps_footer]Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to host the 59th Edition of Filmfare Awards and have beaten Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan at their game.
“This is for the first time that I will be co-hosting the awards, I am very nervous. It’s scary and exciting. But if you don’t do tough things in life then there is no fun. Shah Rukh, Saif, Ranbir, Imran, so many people have hosted the show and they have always set the standard. So, it becomes little scary and there is a pressure. Logically, the pressure applies on Ranbir as well, but I have been working very hard to make sure it will be lot of fun. Also Filmfare Awards is an experience by itself,” said and excited and nervous Priyanka.
She also said, if she had an option of co-hosting the award show with an actress, it would be Vidya Balan because according to her she is very spontaneous and is alot of fun.
Priyanka Chopra arrived late for the Filmfare Awards press conference, which was scheduled to begin from 07:30 pm but it started after 09:00 pm as the actress was held up in traffic. “I used to come late earlier also, it is not something that is dependent on my mood. I was shooting and then got stuck in traffic. Sorry for being late. I broke my new year resolution of not coming late because of work and traffic.” said the talented actor.
As part of their anchoring, the two actors will present the future of Indian cinema in a fun way at the awards ceremony.

“I have not done it much, but Ranbir and I have been working very hard to make sure it will be alot of fun to show you the future of what we think cinema should be, which will obviously be a little mad and loads of fun. So, it’s going to be a really exciting time,” Priyanka Chopra said.
This is Chopra’s first stint at hosting the prestigious awards and she is feeling the pressure considering the standard set by other actors in previous editions.
“Very few girls have hosted the awards. But yes, there is a huge pressure because Filmfare as an event has always been entertaining, funny and there has been a standard set by a lot of people, including Ranbir himself,” said and ecstatic Chopra.
Speaking at the press conference Tarun Rai, CEO, Worldwide Media, Publishers of Filmfare Magazine said, “Every year we try to do better. This year we will take a light-hearted peek into the future of Bollywood, may be of ten to twenty years. The Awards this year are also about commemorating and paying tribute to unforgettable stars, films, songs, dialogue and celluloid memories.”
The 59th Edition of The Filmfare Awards will be held on January 24, 2014 at Yash Raj Films Studios.
We wish Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor all the best, and hope they set the stage on fire![/tps_footer]
