Oops! Twinkle Khanna Takes A Dig At Kapil Sharma And Guess What She Said

The controversy between comedians Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma is known to one and all by now.

It all started when they along with their team were flying from Australia back to India and mid-air, in inebriated state, Kapil not only abused Sunil, but also hurled a shoe at him. Since then, a lot of opinions found way on social media about whether Sunil should forget and move on from Kapil’s show. The latest opinion has come from Twinkle Khanna aka Mrs. Funnybones.

The actress-turned-columnist has written about how at a height of 30,000 feet anything can be a weapon – even Scotch and slippers in her weekly column for Times of India. Titled as “30,000 feet up, even Scotch and slippers are lethal weapons”, the witty novelist took a dig at Kapil Sharma in light of the shoe hurled by him.

Known for her tongue-in-cheek humour, Khanna wrote, “I would like to point out that though airlines routinely confiscate knives, scissors and cricket bats, there are quite a few other potential weapons that are innocuously flying at 30,000 feet up in the air. I don’t mean smuggling a matchstick and trying to ignite your Scotch on the rocks, but it can lead to equally disastrous results when you pour copious amounts of the same down your throat.”

She added, “More recently, when all the free in-flight booze led to a free-for-all, with an allegedly inebriated comedian, Kapil Sharma, hurling a shoe at his colleague. Please note, footwear is also apparently yet another trendy weapon these days. A fact demonstrated by the now infamous Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad who forgot that when you climb on board, it is the plane that is meant to fly and not your temper.”

Twinkle Khanna is ready to make a comeback in Bollywood, but not as an actress but as a producer. She is currently working on maiden production venture Pad Man under her production banner called Mrs. Funnybones Movies. The movie, which stars her husband Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, is in the shooting stage. Pad Man is directed by R. Balki, who previously directed films like Ki And Ka, Cheeni Kum and Paa.
