Oru Vadakkan Selfie To Be Remade In Bollywood

Oru-Vadakkan-SelfieMalayalam industry’s latest release starring frontrunner Nivin Pauly, Oru Vadakkan Selfie has announced a major news today. The film’s official Facebook handle broke the news today that the Malayalam hit film will be remade in not one, but 5 different languages! This breaks the record set by previous hit film Drishyam which has had 4 official remakes including Ajay Devgn‘s Bollywood version set to release next month.

Starring Bangalore Days fame Nivin Pauly, Manjima Mohan, Aju Varghese, Vineeth Sreenivasan in the lead roles, Oru Vadakkan Selfie is the story of the character Umesh and his friends who set out on a journey to become filmmakers in order to earn some easy bucks. Circumstances later end them up into a inescapable hassle which they have to tackle together in order to clear their name. The entire film is a thriller journey with never ending twists and turns in the it along with the proper amount of comic relief provided.

The filmmakers wrote, ” Hello Folks. We are extremely happy to announce that Oru Vadakkan Selfie will be remade into Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu. Some of the rights have already been sold while talks are going on about the rest. Another wonderful news is that our Selfie is heading towards the 100 days mark. So thank you all for the continued support and love. You guys have been awesome!”

As the film is being remade in Bollywood as well, we wonder who might be fit to play roles like these! Our suggestion includes young’uns Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sushant Singh Rajput. What say you?
