With varied diversions, dance forms, exotic locations and huge sets, something sets apart each number in its own way. Sandeep Kulkarni’s Dombivli Return will add yet another uniqueness to the list of item numbers.
Kulkarni will also star in the film, which he has been co-produced with Mahesh Parash of Avdhoot Entertainment. ‘Dombivili Return’ has actress Rajeshwari Sachdev opposite.
Yes, being the first item song that is shot on a yacht, this one has set itself aside from the other songs. And of course there are tales to tell from the shoot. The requirement of the song was to be shot in the night and getting such permissions with a huge crew was the first hassle.
Actor Sandeep also recalls the fact that on the second day, they had to halt their shoots midway. There was major water turbulence on day 2 with the yacht being stuck in a water whirlpool making it extremely difficult to shoot. It was also very dangerous and there was a moment of panic on the sets. However, no one was hurt and the song was completed. The team is happy for the song to have come out so well. The item song has been performed by renowned actress from the south – Pooja Kasekar.
‘Dombivli Return‘ is not a sequel to the 2005 Marathi movie. My film about the common man today is a middle class story and a socio psychological thriller which has cost me around three and half crores,” said Kulkarni.
“I shot the film in just 28 days. Earlier, I had made a Marathi film ‘Premsutra’ and this film is my debut as a producer in Bollywood. I plan to tap the corporate houses to release the film in a big way,” he added.
‘Dombivli Return‘ also stars Amol Parashar and Hrishikesh Joshi in lead roles.[/tps_footer]
