Fresh trouble for Bollywood actor Salman Khan after his final verdict on 2002 hit and run case. A Special Leave Petition has been filed in Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the bail after the court granted two days interim bail till May 8th.
Special leave petition was submitted today to the apex court bench headed by Chief Justice H.L. Dattu by advocate V. Mishra, appearing for petitioner Akhilesh Chaubey. The petitioner put the application seeking that Salman Khan’s bail should be cancelled given by Bombay High Court.

It’s been a shocking news not only for actor Salman Khan but also for his family after getting convicted of all the charges on 2002 hit and run case, sentencing for five years jail. Salman Khan’s car had met with accident in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four.
The defence lawyer Harish Salve argued in the court saying that no one can put anyone in jail without proper order. Bombay High Court later granted Salman Khan two days of interim bail, till May 8th.
Salman has been booked under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving); 279 (rash driving); 337 (causing minor injuries); 338 (causing major injuries) 427 (negligence) in connection with the case.
Under Motor Vehicle Act Sections 34 (a), (b) read with 181 (driving vehicle in contravention of rules); 185 (driving at great speed after consuming alcohol).
