MUMBAI: Seems like television is the new big screen in Bollywood, with so many film promotions being conducted on the telly.
Film marketers have created an ingenious platform where they promote films by integrating the big screen actors and film plots with story lines on TV serials.
Case in point is Aamir Khan’s ‘Talaash’ promotions. The perfectionist actor has returned to the small screen, to promote his upcoming crime thriller, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji.
Aamir Khan was seen enjoying his stint on TV, with the entire cast of Star Parivaar for the TV show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ which airs on Star Plus. Looking like a million bucks in his suave black blazer with crisp white shirt and blue jeans, he was seen interacting with TV stars like Supriya Pilgaonkar, Deepika Singh, and child star Bhavesh Balchandani and many others.
This is not the first time Aamir has been exposed to telly land. Who can forget his stint on TV with the ever-popular socio-drama show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, which challenged social evils prevalent in Indian society?
Also, the star was recently even seen on a special episode of crime show C.I.D to promote ‘Talaash’.
The star of C.I.D Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman in the crime thriller show, said Aamir is a no-hassle actor. “He is a professional and has no ego hassles, no tantrums. He is just like us. He follows the given lines and listens to the director,” Shivaji said.
He also added, “Aamir is very cooperative. We didn’t feel like we were working with a superstar,” added Shivaji.
