The Indian film industry has a deep connection with the literary and music world, and we spotted the three colliding recently at Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s book launch. What made the event even more special was the presence of the Bachchan family at this exclusive event.
Bachchan patriarch Amitabh Bachchan showed up with his dashing son actor Abhishek and his beautiful daughter-in-law, superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The book, titled: ‘My Father, Our Fraternity: The Story of Hafiz Khan and My World’ is based on the sarod maestro’s father Hafiz Khan.
This prestigious event saw the likes of Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya grace the literary occasion, and speak at length about their reading lists. They also spoke about the finer nuances of the book in question. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s sons, Amaan and Ayaan were also present at the event, to support their father’s latest literary endeavour.
Abhishek and Aishwarya looked like the madly-in-love couple that they are; with Aishwarya staring lovingly into the eyes of her man, a gesture we have seen her repeat at many red carpet events all over the world, including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival a couple of years ago.
Abhishek looked uber stylish in a dark, pinstriped suit; and going by his looks we are sure he has lost oodles of weight in the past few months. Aishwarya donned a simple yet elegant black Anarkali outfir, by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep.
Head of the family, legendary actor and superstar looked effortlessly regal in a black bandhgala and achkan. He has been friends with the sarod maestro, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan for decades, and he launched the book with the author himself.
