MUMBAI: Prakash Jha seems to be in a promotional overdrive for his latest Bollywood film, ‘Chakravyuh’.
Jha is leaving no stone unturned and using every trick in the book possible; to promote his just released film, ‘Chakravyuh’. The film is a socio-political drama, which revolves around the issues of naxalism and corruption in the Indian society.
‘Chakravyuh’ stars Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Manoj Bajpayee, Esha Gupta and newcomer Anjali Patil.
The film released on Dussehra, 24th October, and has seen a somewhat damp reaction by the audiences. Critics though, have mostly given the film a thumbs up. They have likened the film to a social satire, one like Dibakar Bannerjee’s ‘Shanghai’, and have expressed their approval for the film’s subject and treatment.
Looks like Jha is quite elated by these reviews, and has now decided to go all out in promoting the film so that a wider audience comes to the theatres to watch it.
Seen last night at the film’s success party, the films stars Abhay and Anjali were present along with director Prakash Jha. Abhay was looking cool and comfortable in a navy blue tee-shirt and blue jeans. Anjali Patil, relatively new in B’town, was sporting a formal chic look, with a black sleeveless blouse and a fitted pencil grey skirt. Jha was his usual artsy self in a simple black khadi kurta and blue jeans, with his trademark facial hair.
The success party was held at Apicus Bar and Kitchen in suburban Mumbai. Strangely, the film’s lead pair, Arjun and Esha were missing from the celebrations, due to prior work commitments.
