Mumbai: If sources are to be believed, we may just see off-screen husband and wife Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh Kapoor together again onscreen!
The duo has previously scorched the screen in yesteryear superhits like ‘Kabhie Kabhie’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Doosra Aadmi’.
We have recently seen them in Habib Faisal’s ‘Do Dooni Chaar’, and buzz suggests they have done a cameo in Yash Chopra’s magnum opus ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. The couple was once the leading on-screen jodi in B’town, and their films were sweetly innocent and romantic.
Looks like we may be lucky again, in seeing the hit trio on screen together again!
Buzz is the couple has been offered Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Besharam’, which also stars their son Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead. Rishi is said to have read and loved the script, and the part he has been offered. Neetu is yet to read the script and give her ascent to the ambitious project. Kashyap’s films are always slightly different and ‘hatke’, and buzz suggests that ‘Besharam’ will carry the same legacy forward.
If all goes well, we should see the entire Kapoor khandaan together onscreen for the first time in the near future. This would certainly be a casting coup of sorts!
