Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry was very visible in the trailer for ‘Ram-Leela’ as well as in the second song ‘Nagada Dhol Sang’. And now the third song ‘Lahu Munh Lag Gaya’ only strengthens that belief.
Like the second song, ‘Lahu Munh Lag Gaya’ is also set to a garba sequence, but this time around, Ranveer Singh’s Ram and Deepika Padukone’s Leela have no one to interrupt them.
Ram-Leela even share a smouldering kiss right at the start of the song after flirting with each other. If one had to take a guess about which scene of Romeo & Juliet this corresponds to, one could say this could be the scene where the two first meet. A kiss on the first meet? We like!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s garba choreography seems repetitive though, even as the slow, simmering song builds up to a likable chorus that sets up the mood of the lovers well enough.
Let’s hope for something a little different the next time around, even if we’ve loved what we’ve seen of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry.
