Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who was in the controversy for becoming a brand ambassador of Rio 2016 Olympics, attended an event in Delhi organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Salman Khan along with A.R Rahman and IOA officials gave a grand send-off to the Indian athletes at the event. Being an Indian brand ambassador, Salman made sure that he is present at the event for a great moral support to all the athletes. Both the celebrity stars, Salman and Rahman met the athletes and posed for the group picture along with them.
The list of attendees included tennis star Sania Mirza, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Vinod Tomar, Dipa Karmakar and table tennis star Manika Batra. A day ago Salman launched Sania Mirza’s autobiography in Mumbai and the next day he was there for the talented lady to give her confidence and moral support before her journey to Rio. Sania Mirza will pair up with young Prarthana Thombare in women’s doubles and with Rohan Bopanna in mixed doubles at Rio Olympics 2016.
It was quite an amazing event for the all the athletes before moving for a big tournament of the year. Salman and A.R Rahman even encouraged them saying that nothing is impossible in this world, which rose up more confidence among them.
Also, Salman Khan’s recently released film Sultan, which is based on wrestling, has showcased actor’s love and interest in the sports. The same interest and his love for the sports was seen yesterday at the event.
