[tps_footer]In what may come as a relief to the dimpled actress Preity Zinta, the newly married leggy lass was on Monday acquitted in a cheque bounce case filed by scriptwriter Abbas Tyrewala in 2013. The court has acquitted the actress of all charges. On February 20, 2013, Mr. Tyrewala alleged that a cheque of Rs. 18.9 lakh he received as remuneration for his work in Zinta’s film Ishkq in Paris had bounced.
Tyrewala had alleged that the actor had never compensated him for his work. However, refuting the allegations, the new Mrs.Goodenough claimed the remuneration cheque was stopped since Tyrewala had failed to deliver the work as expected.
Zinta’s counsellor informed the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate that: “On the date the cheque was issued, there was no liability on the actor for it.” The counsellor said the work for which the cheque was issued was not completed and hence the amount sought was unaccounted for. In January 2014, the Bombay High Court also refused to quash a non-bailable warrant issued against Zinta.
Well, all is well that ends well right?
We wish the bubbly beauty all the very best in her future endeavors as well as success with her recent nuptials.[/tps_footer]
