It seems French star Isabelle Adjani’s Indian look in Ishkq In Paris has gone down very well with the locals in her native country.
She has been featured in sarees, ghagra-cholis and bindis and bangles in top French publications including the largest-selling French news-weekly Paris Match.
And now we hear that the film’s makers have decided to relocate the film’s premiere from Mumbai to a grand Indo-French premiere in Paris. Governments from both the countries are being taken into confidence to ensure that the event comes across as a symbol of cultural amity between the two countries.
A source informed, “Ishkq In Paris is being premiered in Paris. Political dignitaries from the highest level from both India and France are expected to attend. Isabelle Adjani is even using her clout to invite the French President Francois Hollande for the premiere.”
When contacted the film’s director Prem Raj admitted to plans of a Parisian premiere. “Yes, we’re now going to premiere the film in Paris. Isabelle has been all over the French media in her Indian look. There’s a tremendous buzz about India and Indian cinema in France. We’d like to be part of this excitement. Isabelle has been covered in the top French publications like Paris Match in her Indian avatar. Ours is the first Indian film to be covered in the mainstream French press.”
Prem is reluctant to reveal details of the premiere. “All I can tell you is, it will be one of the grandest world premieres of an Indian film. India and France will celebrate the film on one platform.”
Prem says the invitees for the Parisian premiere are now being readied. “Isabelle would draw up the list of invitees from Paris. Preity would be taking care of the guest list from India who will attend the Paris premiere.”
