He has never followed the rule book, he has never been in the number game and he has always let it work speak for him; well we are talking about the birthday boy Rahul Khanna who turns forty two today, June 20, 2014.
Rahul Khanna was born and raised in Mumbai with his father Vinod Khanna and mother ex-model Gitanjali Taleyarkhan. Rahul Khanna studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the School of Visual Arts in New York City and started his career as a VJ with MTV Asia in 1994.
The moment Rahul hit the air waves, women went ga ga over him and he became a sensation. Throughout his four year stint he enjoyed immense popularity, an enormous fan following across Asia and consistently glowing media coverage.
Rahul Khanna made his feature film debut in Deepa Mehta‘s 1947 Earth, alongside Aamir Khan. He then went ahead and did films like Elaan, Raqeeb, Veer, Love Aaj Kal, Wake Up Sid among others.
Khanna’s international credits include The Emperor’s Club with Kevin Kline, East Is Was and a few more. Rahul Khanna has been associated with several brands including Toyota, Pepsi, Tommy Hilfiger, Maggi, Audi and many more.
He has been a host to a lot of award functions and was last seen in Anil Kapoor‘s 24 on Colors. Currently Rahul will be seen in a pivotal role in an American television series titled The Americans.
Based on the backdrop of the Cold War during the 80s, the series revolves around KGB (Russian) spies who pose as a married couple living in Washington DC.
Rahul Khanna will be seen in the second season of the series playing the role of Yousaf, a Pakistani intelligence official who holds some important information that will prove to be in favour of the spies.
The Americans is created by Joseph Weisberg and stars Keri Russell, Mathew Rhys, Keidrich Sellati in prominent roles.
