The director reveals that he announced his film (Kaabil) in February last year. He added that a sudden announcement about the release of another film is little unethical. He also states that he cannot stop any film from releasing on the same day. King Khan and Rakesh even had a word on this clash. Rakesh spills the beans and says that they’ve met a couple of times. He quotes that he spoke to Shah Rukh that nobody is going to gain anything out of this clash. The director also reveals that he can’t shift the release date of Kaabil as he is little superstitious. He concluded saying that he has no ego and would have changed the date had he not announced the film.
Well, we can only wait to see if SRK makes any changes in the release date of Raees or not. The film was supposed to release this year during Eid, clashing Salman Khan’s Sultan. But, the Dilwale actor chose not to have a clash and shifted the date during Republic Day week in 2017.
