MACAU: Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anurag Basu tasted the sweetest ‘Barfi’ at the 14th edition of the IIFA awards at Macau, last evening. The film not only swept awards in the technical category, it also managed to win over the popular awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Performance In a Leading Role (Male), Best Music, Best Story.
While ‘Barfi’ swept as many as 14 awards, the next big films, which came close to this film, were ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Vicky Donor’. Both bagged four awards each. That’s a huge margin!
Rishi Kapoor was lauded for his villainous act in ‘Agneepath’ while veteran actor Annu Kapoor was given the ‘Performance in a Supporting Role (Male)’ for his stupendous act in ‘Vicky Donor’. Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam also walked away with Best Debut awards for the same film.

Best Jodi: Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone – YJHD
Best Actress in Supporting Role: Anushka Sharma – Jab Tak Hai Jaan
Best Actor (Comedy): Abhishek Bachchan – Bol Bachchan
Best Director (Debut): Gauri Shinde – English Vinglish
Best Dialogue – Zeishan Quadri, Akhilesh, Sachin Ladia, Anurag Kashyap – Gangs of Wasseypur-1, Juhi Chaturvedi – Vicky Donor
Best Action – Sham Kauhal – Gangs of Wasseypur-1
Best Visual/Special Effects – Ek Tha Tiger
Best Editing – Namrata Rao – Kahaani

Javed Akhtar – Outstanding Contribution To Indian Cinema
Shabana Azmi – IIFA For Humanity Award
