Reams has already been written about Ram Leela stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, but we still can’t figure out if there’s real love there, or is it just for the cameras….
Ranveer and Deepika’s off-screen chemistry at various promotional events (including the televised appearance on a popular comedy TV show) has set tongues wagging indeed. The whole world and its cousin is eager to know whether this sizzling jodi is doing it all just for the sake of the cameras?
Recently, Ranveer admitted in an interview that he was “flattered and proud” that Deepika was his Leela. Ranveer couldn’t help praising the gorgeous Deepika, as she was the most “committed and honest actress who is driven to perfection”.
The garrulous, over-the-top Ranveer even said that he was extremely grateful to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for casting him in Ram Leela. He said that Bhansali’s method of filmmaking was “larger than life and totally over the top and I like that”.
Deepika, however, has always been poised and dignified about this alleged “relationship”, choosing to stay mum instead. Deepika ambiguously stated during the interview: “It’s part of the territory, you have to accept it that as public figures your life is public too, you cannot get upset and you have to take it in your stride.”
Whether the two are together or not, Ram Leela for sure will be a cracker of a film, at least for their on-screen shenanigans. What say?
