Raveena Tandon is back on the silver screen and how!! Just looking at the trailer of her upcoming Bollywood film, Maatr will give you goosebumps and you know Raveena is back with a bang!
The film revolves around the grim topic of rape and is set in the (rape) capital of India, Delhi. It is a heart breaking story of a mother avenging her daughter’s death. Vidya (Raveena) is completely shattered and her life goes upside down after her daughter Tia was brutally raped and murdered after. The story also revolves around the inefficiencies and inadequacies of the police and judicial system. The hollow and corrupt legal system doesn’t help the grieving mother.
Vidya takes it upon herself to avenge her daughter’s untimely death. When her partner and the police bail on her, she trains herself physically and otherwise to make sure the culprits meet their true destiny.
If the trailer itself was not enough to make your cringe, it ends with this brutally honest statement – “While you were watching the trailer, a girl was raped somewhere in the country. Time to think. Time to act.”

The movie is set to be released on April 21 and also stars Divya Jagdale, Anurag Arora and others. The film is an upcoming Indian revenge thriller, written by Michael Pellico and directed by Ashtar Sayed.
