Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar’s much anticipated film ‘Brothers’ has been set to release on August 14, on the eve of the Independence Day. The makers of the film made the official announcement of the release date on the twitter.
Brothers is the official remake of the Hollywood movie Warriors starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. It also stars Jackie Shroff in a pivotal role. Last month filmmakers of ‘Brothers’ revealed its first poster with an amazing appealing look.
The poster had three main characters of the film, Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jackie Shroff in salt and pepper rugged look. The look of all the three actors was tough and intense, which is based on their character in the movie.
The movie is produced by Dharma productions, thus making the movie a third time broadcasted movie of Karan Johar and Sidharth Malhotra together. It is for the first time Akshay Kumar has worked with Dharma Productions. The film is directed byKaran Malhotra. Interestingly Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen as a special appearance in an item number with actor Sidharth Malhotra.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
