The film faced unheard of cuts including not allowing women to use curse words whereas recent films which have been given an A certificate have allowed “Men” to use curse words with unapologetic approach. Some other ridiculous things include – not using words like Maal, not allowing scenes of women checking out men, not using the word “Indian figure” and not using words like adivasi.

A film that has globally managed to impress audiences and has been called as the first ever true representation of Indian women on how they talk, their desires, their feelings, has been asked to shy away from every small thing in the pursuit of what “an ideal Indian woman” is supposed to behave line.

The worst part is the film which celebrates womanhood and goddesses was fought heavily to change the title of the movie altogether. Even scenes in the movie which have any image of any female goddess has been asked to be blurred stating religious sentiments to be hurt  even though there has been no alternations made to any image/form of any goddess.
