Finally, Deepika Padukone‘s role in her upcoming film Piku is revealed. Happy New Year star‘s character in the film is different than we have seen so far. We have seen Deepika’s glamourous side in all her films, but in this one, we’ll get to see her in a totally different avatar.

Apart from her desi look in the film, Deepika will be seen flaunting her perfect natural beauty in sweatshirts and pants. She plays a role of an independent girl in Piku.
In the film, Padukone runs a small business. Apart from dealing with her day to day problems and living each day on her own terms, Deepika is very much attached to her old father, played by Amitabh Bahchan, in the film. She has a responsibility to take care of her father. A friendly, free, confident and caring woman, that’s how Deepika Padukone’s character is in the film. Piku is based in Delhi. It is said that the film revolves around Deepika and Big B’s daily life.

The film will take us through father and daughter’s relationship. We recently saw the teaser of film’s trailer. The film also stars Irrfan Khan. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Piku will be released on May 8, 2015.
