After making headlines for his untitled film with Bollywood actress Radhika Apte, the South superstar Rajinikanth is reportedly going to play the role based on the real life of a Chennai mafia don for his titled film Kabali. Directed by Pa Ranjith, starring actors Radhika Apte, Dhansika and Kalaiarasan, the film is titled Kabali for now.
According to the reports, superstar Rajinikanth will play a character called Kabaleeshwaran, and the title Kabali is derived from it with the story based on a don from Mylapore in Chennai.
Reportedly, the film will be directed by Pa Ranjith and the shooting of the film may apparently go on floors on September 17. The shooting of character’s early life will be shot in Chennai, while the rest part of the film will be shot internationally. According to the reports, the first look is expected to be out on Vinayagar Chathurthi, and the title of the film is said to be tentative for now.

The Ahalya actress Radhika Apte, who is currently regarded as the most versatile star in the industry, has bagged the dream role which every actress hopes for. Also earlier, Apte has tried her luck in the Tamil film industry but hasn’t been able to make a mark, however it is being said that after setting all the victory flags with her short film Ahalya, the thread is broken and Radhika has finally found her blockbuster opposite Rajinikanth who will play the role of his wife in the film while Tamil actress Dhansika will be essaying the role of Rajinikanth‘s daughter. The film also marks 159th film of Rajinikanth.
The cast and crew will head to the scenic Malaysia for a month long shooting schedule. The release date of the yet to commence film is not finalized, but speculations suggest that it might hit the screens sometime next year.
