[tps_footer]Revolver Rani, Kangana Ranaut was in her elements and gave the shutterbugs lots of poses with guns during the press meet along with her co-star Vir Das.
Kangana Ranaut looked chic in a lime green Burberry dress with a pale pink belt by the same brand and matching pumps.
In the trailer, that as shown to all the guests as well as the media, has Rani (Kangana Ranaut) demanding to be married in front of the Taj Mahal.
When asked about the venue for her wedding, she jested, “I doubt if anyone will want to marry me after this film.” stated Kangana Ranaut when asked where would she want to get married in real life.
Kangana Ranaut, who is winning accolades for her performance in her last release Queen, feels awards do not feature on her priority list.
“I think at any given age, there are priorities that you have. Awards are not my priority. There are so many award ceremonies these days, almost fifteen to sixteen. You have to sit for nearly five to six hours for each award show, plus spend around two hours for hair and make-up. The awards cost you a lot. It gets expensive,” Kangana told the media at the event.
But this does not mean that Kangana does not believe in awards. “It is not that. I think that our awards are not genuine. I have got awards for Gangster and Fashion. I think these days everyone gets an award, like there are awards for best smile and best sari, etc. It seems awards are given just for the sake of making people happy,” she said.
In Revolver Rani her bizarre and crazy persona will make men feel scared of her. “My sister and I had jointly heard the narration of Revolver Rani in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s office. After hearing the narration, my sister was very scared and adamant that I should not do this film as my character was twisted, neurotic, violent and abusive,” said Kangana Ranaut, adding how she enjoyed playing a nymphomaniac in the film.
According to film-maker Tigmanshu Dhulia, one of the co-producers, Revolver Rani is a B-grade film that will be enjoyed by the masses. “It is a very tightly-scripted film, which is extremely unpredictable. I saw the film several times at the editing table and realised that is has something which keeps you glued in,” said Tigmanshu.
Besides Kangana Ranaut, Vir Das and Tigmanshu Dhulia, debutant director Sai Kabir, Raju Chadha, Rahul Mittra, Nitin Tej Ahuja, Piyush Mishra and Zakir Hussain were also present at the event.
