MUMBAI: Bollywood actor-turned-producer Saif Ali Khan has gifted himself a spanking new car: a super stylish Audi R8 Spyder! Spotted showing off his new pair of hot wheels last night, Saif was ecstatic as he drove home the beauty.
Proudly seated behind the steering wheel of his brand new mean machine, Saif was like a kid in a candy store, as he drove his new acquisition home for his beautiful begum Kareena Kapoor Khan to admire. In a simple checked shirt and jeans, Saif’s appearance was otherwise nondescript, but his flashy red car grabbed all the attention!
The car reportedly has a price tag of a whopping Rs 1.45 crores, and is just a mark of how successful a producer Saif has become. His next film, ‘Go Goa Gone’ is up for release next weekend, and if all goes well, perhaps the success of the zombie flick will prompt him to add yet another luxury car to his stables.
Saif’s decision to be an actor, in hindsight, seems like a well-thought out one. Though his father (Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) and his grandfather (Iftikar Ali Khan) were both cricketers, Saif chose to break tradition and become an actor, a decision he doesn’t regret in the least.
Saif recently said, “Genetically, I seem to have gone on my mother’s side, but that’s also fine because I am 42 now – I would have retired as a cricketer, but I am just starting to enjoy myself as an actor. I think it’s all in all a good decision.”
Saif also spoke about the book based on his father: ‘Pataudi: Nawab of Cricket’. “The book is like a collection of people’s experiences of him, it’s not really a story as such.”
