[tps_footer]It was last year that Salman Khan had hosted the Eighth Edition of the Renault Star Guild Awards for the first time and looks like The Film and Television Producers Guild of India are in no mood to let go of such a fabulous host.
On Friday, December 27, 2013 The Film and Television Producers Guild of India made an official announcement that the actor will host the Ninth Edition of the Renault Star Guild Awards.
Speaking on the announcement, Mukesh Bhatt, President of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India said, “The Film and Television Industry has witnessed an incredible year in 2013 with regards to the quality of content produced. We are very excited and look forward to the ceremony that will celebrate the incredible performances and have a great time this year as well.”
The Film and Television Producers Guild of India commemorates the extraordinary achievements of individuals from both the film as well as the television industry. It is the only award ceremony that does not allow the general public to be part of the voting process as these awards are by the industry and for the industry.
The Guild comprises more that hundred and sixty members, including some of the most powerful and influential luminaries in these sector, who chose the winners.
With Salman Khan returning as the host yet again, this year’s award will surely have his trademark sense of humour and one liners, something that he is now very famous for. If one remembers, then even last year Salman Khan had everyone in splits with his impromptu jokes. There is a possibility that like last year there may be some segments that could be hosted by Salman and a couple of leading ladies, details of which are being worked upon.
The Renault Star Guild Awards will take place on January 16, 2014 at the NSCI stadium in Mumbai and would later be telecast in Star Network.[/tps_footer]
