MUMBAI: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who were last seen together in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ last year were to reunite to perform on stage together at Chicago to celebrate hundred years of Indian cinema. It now looks like both the actors will not be participating in this event which was to take place at the end of August.

Buzz is that the event has been cancelled due to the unavailability of Salman Khan. Initially, Salman Khan was to shoot for director Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ in London towards the end of July going into August.

But after his visa issues and the postponement of the shoot, Salman Khan doesn’t have much time and he wants to concentrate only on the shoot for ‘Kick’ instead of dividing time between the shoot and practices for the Chicago event.

Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, is busy with ‘Dhoom 3’ where she plays a villain alongside Aamir Khan. And even ‘Bang Bang’ is on a break due to Hrithik Roshan recovering from his surgery, and may take a while to be fit for shooting.

The performance in Chicago would have been Salman Khan’s first performance in the city in seven years. Looks like his fans will have to now wait to see him, especially Salman Khan matching steps with Katrina Kaif.
