Salman known for his volatile temper took on all the volley of political questions that were thrown towards him during his recent visit to Gujarat. Salman was in Gujarat to promote his upcoming film Jai Ho and there he met Chief Minister Narendra Modi over lunch. He repeatedly insisted that Modi is a good man but people should vote for the man they thought would best represent them.
“You think Modi is best candidate for you, you vote for him. I live in Bandra I will vote for Priya Dutt and Baba Siddiqui. All I need to say is that you all should vote for the best man in your constituency,” said the actor in Ahmedabad.
However, not many of Modi’s hardcore fans on Facebook and Twitter latched on to the fact that Salman wasn’t exactly endorsing the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate. Salman stated outright that he would vote for the Congress.
“Salman Khan is very smart. He said Modi is a Good Man and then he also said may the Best Man should be PM. Now Modi was grinning without realising what Salman stated,” said a user Nisha Agarwal on IBNLive’s Facebook page.
A user on twitter wrote, “Best thing is, in front of Modi, Salman said he will vote for Priya Dutt and Baba Siddiqui both are from Congress. BHAI ROCKS.”

The reaction from politicians was predictably guarded. “A film star can voice his personal opinion, it is a democracy. Final decision is of the nation,” said Salman Khurshid.
Salman’s parting line to the press was, “I live in Mumbai, I am an outsider. My opinion does not count, yours does. I have seen so much development in Gujarat and Modi should get what the future holds for him. Jai Ho.”
All said and done, this Dabangg Khan very carefully dodged giving an answer that could evoke any negative response from the crowd and would have landed him into any kind of controversy.
