With year 2015, the season of award shows began, and one of the biggest award ceremonies in Indian cinema, Filmfare Awards is right around the corner. The list of nominations for the 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards is already out and what we see is quite shocking!
Dabangg actor Salman Khan and King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh are nowhere to be seen in the nomination list. The actors who rocked the blockbuster with their commercially hit films ‘Kick’ and ‘Happy New Year’ have no nomination under their name, while Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ is nominated under the category of Best Music award, whereas SRK’s ‘Happy New Year’ managed to bag two nominations; one for Best Actor in a supporting role (Abhishek Bachchan) and another for Best Playback Singer (Shreya Ghoshal).

Both the actors, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, neither are nominated for Best Actor category nor are their films for Filmfare award in Best Film category. Well, Actors’ good friend and another Khan of Bollywood’s, Aamir is seen holding his ground in both the categories for his record breaking film ‘PK’, alongside Shahid Kapoor for his brilliant performance in ‘Haider’. Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Queen’ is running too in the nominations, and boy, it’s running good!
Shahid’s ‘Haider’ and Kangana’s ‘Queen’, both the films have a lot of nominations in different categories in the 60th Britannia Filmfare 2014 Awards.
Even though ‘Kick’ and ‘Happy New Year’ were one of the biggest hits of 2014, actor Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t make it in the nomination for the Best Actor Filmfare Award, nor could their films for Best Film award. Just like us, we are sure that Salman and SRK fans are in big surprise as well.
