Salman Khan’s hit and run case has got some new twist. Hit and run case did not commence yesterday, as Salman’s lawyer could not come to court because of his bad health.
But a key witness made a request for the police protection, which the judge said that he would accept after a written submission would be made. The court adjourned the trial till January 22.
As a proof Dr Suhas Pawar, who had collected the blood sample of Khan, made an oral plea through special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat for police protection. The witness however did not assign any reason for the security.
According to the prosecution, Salman Khan’s blood report indicated that he had two times the permissible limit of alcohol in his blood the night he alleged to have run over five people who were asleep on a pavement near his home.
Salman Khan did not come to the court yesterday as he had already sought exemption.
Nearly 20 witnesses have already been examined in the case and a few more are left to depose.
