Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ Troubles Seem Unending

Salman Khan has been caught up in his legal tangles, because of which he hasn't been able to go to London to shoot for director Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick'.

MUMBAI: ‘Kick’ has been a troubled production so far. Initially, Shirish Kunder was to direct the film. But Sajid Nadiadwala came on to direct the film as his debut feature when ‘Joker’ did not do well at the box-office.

But the shoot which was to start in the last week of July, did not begin well either. Sajid Nadiadwala is stuck in Glasgow since then without Salman Khan because he is stuck in the web of visa problems and legal tangles. The hearing of Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case too begins on 19 August.

The buzz was that Salman Khan’s visa issues were solved last week, but apparently this is not so. Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father said, “My son has a tourist visa but he has not got the work permit yet. The shoot may have to be shifted elsewhere.”

A source close to the film said, “The second schedule of the film was supposed to be shot in India and now that the Glasgow schedule has gone awry, the film may start with the second schedule in India.”

The entire schedule at Glasgow wasn’t a total waste though. A few scenes were shot with Randeep Hooda, the supporting actor in the film, but as Salman Khan has many scenes in the film, it still isn’t enough.

With the court hearing about to begin in the coming week and the foreign schedule possibly having to shift, will ‘Kick’ meet its 27 July, 2014 release date? Let’s hope Salman Khan gets back on track.
