[tps_footer]January 21, 2014, Sameera Reddy and Akshai Varde got married after dating each other for almost two and a half years. Akshai owns a company that builds custom-made bikes and it was the love for bikes that brought Sameera and Akshai together. The couple had met during a bike shoot and started dating soon after.
Sameera and Akshai got engaged in December 2013 at the Reddy residence and got married at the same place in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. Family and very close friends were present for the intimate ceremony. Sushama Reddy, Sameera’s sister did all that she could to make this day special for her sister.
Apparently, since their engagement last year, the duo had been contemplating getting married in the earlier part of 2014. As luck would have it, both their families were together in the city at this time, so they mutually decided to shift the date as Akshai is going to be caught up with work for the rest of the year
The sangeet, mehndi and cocktail ceremony took place on January 20, 2014 Monday night. Akshai made quite an entry and even Sameera was surprised. He brought a rose for her and then soon took her in his arms. What followed was a beautiful dance, with the couple’s parents joining them.
Though Sameera took time to say yes to Akshai, he always knew that it was Sameera who he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
Post the wedding an elated Sameera said, “I am over the moon. He is everything that I wanted in a man and more. Our families are extremely happy and I couldn’t have asked for more.”

Sameera wore a Neeta Lulla creation for her sangeet as well as for her wedding and will be seen in a Nishka Lulla creation for her reception.
