The crucial chapter was when Dalbir had approached Salman Khan for the help over her brother’s release way back in 2012, as the superstar has many fans across the border. In 2012, Dalbir, along with Sarbjit’s daughters, met Salman on the sets of Dabangg 2 where she approached help from Salman. Post the meeting, Salman Khan had taken to his twitter handle to pass the message on the same and also launched an online campaign urging people to sign a petition to free the falsely accused Indian.

Unfortunately, the director couldn’t make this scene happen in the film as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is essaying Dalbir‘s character and the two will never agree to share the same screen space. Reportedly, Salman‘s involvement has been dropped off and might be due to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Also, reportedly there was no possible way to shoot the scenes separately as they had to come face to face. Since the struggles of Sarbjit’s were too extensive, it was not possible for the makers of the film to recount every incident in the film.[/tps_footer]
