Following their arrival at Taj on the first day, the Duke and Duchess travelled to many famous places of Mumbai. Surprises were in the store with a charity ball hosted at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel.

Bollywood celebrities Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit with husband Nene, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor and many other celebrities were at their sartorial best at the star-studded evening. Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton looked stunning in an eye-catching blue gown by British designer Jenny Packham. With her hair pulled back, matching shade box clutch and long earrings, she made an elegant look at the red carpet. The gown looked stunning and the beading of the gown was done in India.

Also seen at the glittery party were stars Sophie Choudry, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others. While talking to media, Madhuri Dixit said that they had a good time with the royal couple as they talked about Indian movies.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan too was in praises for the royal couple. He said, “Is it ok to say she’s extremely beautiful and elegant? Well she is,” he joked with reporters. “If they spend more time here I think they’ll love it. I could definitely show them a good time! I’ll take them out,” SRK told reporters.
