[tps_footer]To mark the occasion of Carrera’s Golden Jubilee, Tag Heuer has come out with a beautiful collection of Carrera Gold Watches, which were unveiled by Superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai.
Speaking at the event, Shah Rukh expressed his delight to be part of Tag Heuer, and was all praise for the brand and the Carrera Gold Collection.
Bollywood filmmakers Punit Malhotra, Kunal Kohli and Tarun Mansukhani accompanied Shah Rukh, while actress Mandira Bedi was the host for the evening.
At the launch, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his happiness towards this new collection.
“Eleven years I have been working for them, and I truly do believe that Carrera, which is now fifty years, golden jubilee. Many years ago, Hindi films used to have golden jubilee but now we don’t. Now we have 50 crores or 100 crores and stuff like that. Days and months of jubilees have gone, but Carrera has been there for fifty years,” he said.
Shah Rukh Khan went down memory lane and told the press about his first Tag Heuer watch.
“In my teenage years, I remember the hero wearing TAG watches in James Hadley Chase novels. Even though I couldn’t pronounce it, it was one of the few things I wanted to own. Then, in the 90s, I bought a TAG Heuer Link model while on a shoot in New York. It gave me sense of pride because I earned it, and even got a discount because the salesman was Indian.” stated a nostalgic Shah Rukh.

Post the event, Kunal Kohli had tweeted, “Toughest, Most Fun part of Tag Heuer event was the rapid fire with Shah Rukh Khan, his comebacks to our answers had everyone in splits.”
When Shah Rukh Khan asked Kunal Kohli the last film he saw, Kunal replied Jai Ho. The audience erupted on hearing the name of Salman’s film. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan paused for a moment on hearing Kunal’s reply and then said, “Well, there is no accounting for taste.”
