MALAYSIA: Bollywood’s most famous and globe-trotting superstar, Shah Rukh Khan was recently honoured in the far-eastern country of Malaysia. The magnanimous superstar was conferred the prestigious ‘BrandLaureate Legendary Award’ for his immense contribution to the Indian film industry and for being India’s foremost brand ambassador.
Shah Rukh Khan, who had travelled recently to Malaysia to attend his friend, the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad’s birthday, was given this special award as well.
The superstar was awarded this very special honour by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation. Shah Rukh was reportedly humbled and moved by the honour bestowed upon him by Founder of Lord’s Tailor Mr. Robert Loh, President of The BrandLaureate Dr KK Johan, and Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad.
The superstar was ever the gracious recipient, as he humbly accepted this honour. Very stylishly dressed in his favourite black suit and blue tie, Shah Rukh Khan was overjoyed at this recognition for his contribution to Bollywood.
Prior to his trip to the far-east, Shah Rukh tweeted excitedly: “Now onward to Malaysia, for a few hrs.. my friend the respected Dr. Mahathir’s birthday.. then back to shoot. Pvt plane, pvt thoughts…”
Post being conferred the legendary award, the superstar and King of Hearts took to twitter to express his joy, “Got honoured at Dr. Mahathir’s function & a beautiful digital Koran. Now to India.”
It surely was a great celebration at the Prime Minister’s birthday party, and Shah Rukh Khan’s presence made the occasion even more joyful and spectacular.
