[tps_footer]The media has been abuzz with news that arch-enemies Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have buried the hatchet. For many months now, there has been talk of a thawing.
Things began to look up for the warring Khans last Eid, when they warmly embraced each other at MLA Baba Siddiqui’s Iftar party. Since then, allegations and counter-justifications swam fast and thick, with the two maintaining it was just a symbolic gesture.
Salman Khan even cleared the air recently on a popular chat show, Koffee With Karan Season 4, hosted by cheeky filmmaker Karan Johar. But as early as this week, the two hugged it out once again, in public, at The Star Guild Awards.
It is said that awards season brings out the most camaraderie, at least on the surface, and Shah Rukh and Salman proved this theory on Wednesday. Both were dressed in dapper black, and hugged on stage.
Last night, SRK seemingly didn’t let all the media frenzy get to him, when he stepped out for dinner to a posh suburban Mumbai eatery. Dressed in black, Shah Rukh looked every bit the handsome superstar that he is. Is it just us, or does he look more relaxed and at ease, since the Wednesday hug.
Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

A Moment To Remember: When Chennai Express Met Jai Ho
January 16, 2014: This date will go down in history, as it was on this day that the two titans, Shah Rukh Khan (Chennai Express) and Salman Khan (Jai Ho) met and hugged each other.
It was The Star Guild Awards 2014, where Bollywood’s biggest stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan kept their differences aside and decided to hug each other. Once best of friends, but now not even cordial to each other, this came as a surprise to all present at the function.
Salman who was on stage hosting the show, made the first move as he went on to congratulate Shah Rukh on the success of Chennai Express. Shah Rukh was quick to respond and immediately acknowledged Salman’s compliment.
Now Salman being Salman went a step ahead, and asked Shah Rukh Khan to say Jai Ho, in keeping with the former’s upcoming movie with the same title. And soon enough, sweet Shah Rukh raised his hand in response.
Salman even stated that he prefers performing at an event rather than hosting it, as for him its too taxing and acknowledged Shah Rukh to have started this trend for the other actors to follow.
Now as soon as Deepika Padukone announced Shah Rukh Khan’s name for The Entertainer Of The Year Award For Chennai Express and as Shah Rukh started to walk up on the stage, everyone froze as they all wanted to know what would happen once the two giants would be on stage.
And then the moment came; the shutterbugs just went out of control to capture the moment, the moment when they decided to hug each other.
Shah Rukh Khan, while accepting the award said, “It feels special to get this award in the company of Salman who is one of the greatest entertainers the country has seen.”
This is the second hug the two shared, after there much talked about first hug at the Congress Leader Baba Siddique‘s Iftar party.
We hope that this is just the start of a great friendship.[/tps_footer]
