MUMBAI: Looks like Shahid Kapoor is all set to explore his wild side in the film ‘R…Rajkumar’. But even the director Prabhu Dheva would not have thought of such a coincidence.

While shooting at a lake near Film City, a leopard strayed onto the sets of the Shahid Kapoor film. Of course, everyone – a crowd of 300-400 people – ended up in a panic.

The producer Viki Rajani says, “While we were shooting near the Film City lake at 1.30 am, we saw a leopard climbing up a lamp post. There was a lot of panic amongst the 300-400 odd people who were present on the set. But we fired dummy guns that were used by the actors playing henchmen to make enough noise to scare away the creature. We had sufficient security so it was not an issue and we continued shooting till five in the morning.”

Leopards straying onto film city sets are not an unknown incident. It happens quite often due to the sets being located next to the National Park. It was smart thinking on the part of the crew that the leopard moved away though.

‘R…Rajkumar’, also starring Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood alongside Shahid Kapoor, releases on 6 December, 2013.
