Reportedly, on Wednesday afternoon, the immigration authorities at London’s Heathrow Airport detained Akshay Kumar.

Akshay Kumar, who stays away from controversies, was detained at the London airport for half an hour after he was caught travelling without a valid visa. According to the International time, the actor was held from 7 am to 8.45 am as he arrived in London from Mumbai with his personal trainer for the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Rustom‘.
As per rules, a Canadian national can visit the UK as a tourist without a visa. However, when the airport officials asked the actor the reason behind his visit, he revealed that he is there for the film’s shoot, which makes a visa stamp necessary.

Reports also suggest that fans at the airport started clicking pictures of the actor. He then requested the officials to be allowed to sit in a private area. His request was denied by the authorities reasoning that there is no designated place in that area.
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Rustom’ is being directed by Neeraj Pandey and is not just have a strong romantic plot, but also a thrilling murder mystery. The film will release this year on August 12.[/tps_footer]
