Shocking! Censor Board’s Reaction To Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab Trailer

Udta-Punjab[tps_footer]‘Udta Punjab’ trailer has finally made its way to the masses. The film which is already awaited by the audience for its sensitive take on drug abuse has impressed everyone with its hard-hitting first glimpse. The film starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh is based on the menace of drug abuse in Punjab.

The youth-oriented film has released its official trailer and the trailer is making all the positive rounds. Censor Board these days is making all the headlines for its unreasonable decisions and cuts. Thankfully, one can now say that the Censor Board is on a road to betterment as the trailer of ‘Udta Punjab’ was passed without any cuts.

The Shahid starrer movie is expected to be filled with cuss words and sensitive dialogues, the trailer gives us the stated hint. Surprisingly, the CBFC headed by Pahlaj Nihalani did not cut any words in the trailer and also did not include any beep sounds for certain terms used. Pahlaj Nihalani received loads of backlash when he gave a UA certificate to ‘The Jungle Book’. The reason cited by the chief was that the film is in 3D and certain scenes were scary for kids!

The microblogging site Twitter went abuzz with trolls and memes for Pahlaj Nihalani. Anurag Kashyap’s production house Phantom Pictures is the one helming the film ‘Udta Punjab’. The talented celeb took to twitter and thanked the Censor Board. He posted, “Pleasantly surprised and thankful to the CBFC for seeing the UDTA PUNJAB trailer in the context and clearing it without a single cut.Big one.”

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, ‘Udta Punjab’ trailer has received loads of compliments for its brilliant execution. The film is all set to hit the screens on June 17th, 2016.[/tps_footer]
