When a celebrity couple breaks up, it makes all of us a little sad. After a whirlwind of celebrity break-ups and divorces, the newest couple that has headed to splitsville is Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande.
The couple met on the sets of their show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ and started dating shortly after. In fact, Sushant had proposed to Ankita in full Bollywood style on the Jhalak Dikhlaaja 4 set! The high-profile couple was all set to get married in December 2016, but after a bout of constant fighting and slew of disagreements, they have decided to part ways.
It’s said, Sushant and Ankita have ended their relationship because of their careers and too much of pressure staying in the limelight has affected their relation adversely. The last time, we spotted Sushant along with Ankita was only during Zee Cine Awards and since then, Sushant has been spotted alone at the events and Ankita is no more spotted with him, not even on Sushant’s birthday bash. Surely, trouble in paradise.
Earlier rumours were doing rounds that the reason behind Sushant and Ankita’s break up is not just their careers, pressure of the limelight, but Sushant’s closeness with a Bollywood actress. It was Sushant’s extra friendly rapport with his ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ co-star, Parineeti Chopra. But these were just floating rumours, and neither of them have yet confirmed on the same.
Ankita as a person is very insecure. He was always transparent about his feelings and Ankita knew that he loved her. He even told her that while he’d never flirt or date another woman, theirs was an open relationship and he would never question her on her whereabouts.
She couldn’t control her feelings of insecurity and after a while, Sushant started reacting differently, not wanting to justify and repeat himself every day. Sushant never cheated on her and would provide her details of his outdoor schedules. Once, he had even asked her to come along for a three-day work trip to Cape Town. With so many fights and insecurities, their bond was just breaking.
It’s also being said that after settling down with Sushant, and the rise in his career, she lost interest in her career and became content in sitting at home and not doing anything. It’s being said, Ankita had become dependant on the star.
Not only that, gossip mills are doing rounds that Ankita had got so comfortable and carefree, that her fondness for alcohol was one more thing that pushed Sushant away. But neither of the stars have confirmed on this news.
Though there is a buzz on their break up, Ankita took to her twitter handle to share a heart-warming message for Sushant. The actress tweeted in response to Sushant’s Instagram picture and caption.

The Pavitra Rishta actress tweeted in response to that saying, “Don’t feel alone I m always there in ur heart ,in ur life @itsSSR”
He followed it by another equally sad tweet, “Mirage after mirage … The incessant futile pursuit of happiness . In the end, it doesn’t even matter..” Both these tweets hinted that not all was going well for him in his relationship. However, when a leading daily got in touch with Rajput to ask him about the same, he confirmed by saying “I can’t talk about it right now. It is not a good feeling. Please, understand.”
