Vidya Balan has taken the breath away from many who got a sneak peek of the first look of her upcoming film, Bobby Jasoos. The first look of the film shows Vidya Balan disguised as a beggar, seated outside a railway station in Hyderabad.
Bobby Jasoos is being produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha, under the banner of Born Free Entertainment. Vidya has always pushed the bar as an actor and has done many unconventional roles, just like it seems in this film too. We learnt that while she was sitting among real beggars, a lady passing by stopped and gave her some money and scolded her about how she should get a job and not beg.
Bobby Jasoos is an action thriller film directed by Samar Shaik. It is the second project of Born Free Entertainment, after Love Breakups Zindagi.
Regarding Bobby Jasoos, Dia Mirza said in an interview, “The script of Bobby Jasoos bears testimony to the fact that being patient and investing in good stories usually reaps good dividends and we are very happy to have Vidya essaying the tittle role.”
Regarding her role, Vidya Balan said, “I found the idea of a lady detective irresistible, as did the title Bobby Jasoos and that was the reason why I said yes to doing this project.”
Vidya Balan will play the role of a detective in the film and will be seen being romanced by younger actor Ali Fazal from Fukrey.
Year 2013 has not been very good for Vidya at the Box Office as her films has not done well. However, coming year she has a couple of releases that look promising.
On a personal front Vidya Balan got married to the CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, Siddharth Roy Kapur on December 14, 2012.
Bobby Jasoos is slated to have a summer 2014 release.
