MUMBAI: Bollywood’s resident Khiladi aka Akshay Kumar was spotted inaugurating a cancer hospital for police personnel here in the city last evening.

Looking ever the suave Bollywood hero, Akshay was seen in a fitted white shirt, a pair of tailored black trousers and a black blazer, looking aptly formal for the event. He was seen interacting with Dr Satyapal Singh, Mumbai Police Commissioner, while speaking on stage about the need for good cancer specialist hospitals in the city.

Akshay also touched upon the need for a speciality hospital for police the hard working, brave personnel, who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect the citizens of the city.

In other news, seems like Akshay is in reminiscing mode, for he recently revealed that his most favourite bike stunt was from his 1998 film ‘Keemat’.

Said the dashing actor: “I have performed too many action roles with motorcycles but a stunt scene in ‘Keemat’ will always be memorable.”

Adventure could well be Akshay Kumar’s middle name, for the man is known for the most daring, dangerous stunts on-screen. “It was a dangerous scene, in which I had to jump the bike from a height, which was almost as high as a three storey building. There was a door near my landing point and I was not even aware of exactly where to land. I practiced almost a day and finally the scene was done.”

Akshay also revealed his secret to combat traffic woes in Mumbai: he uses his bike! “Traffic congestion and jams are big problems and matter of concern in Mumbai. To counter that I often use my bikes while going for film shootings. The distance covered by car in one-and-a-half hour can be done in 15-20 minutes on a bike.”
