MUMBAI: Saturday night saw Times Now host their annual ‘Foodie Awards’. And this time around, we saw John Abraham turn up, with his pretty ‘I, Me Aur Main’ co-star Prachi Desai, to indulge in some good-old food-frenzy at the food-based awards show.
John looked casually chic in a sky blue shirt and cream trousers, while Prachi chose a white- gold embroidered Jennifer Lopez creation. The lady stunned us with her chic and fabulous sartorial choice for the evening: we didn’t know you had it in you, Ms Desai!
Also present to indulge in the great food was Bollywood funny-man Boman Irani, Pooja Bedi, singer Raageshwari, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl. The celebrities had a great time catching up with one another, and indulging in the lip-smacking food on display.
John has been appreciated as his role as a baddie in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race 2’. Though the film was slammed by critics, its been doing well enough at the box office. We caught up with the hunky star, who told us he didn’t feel any pressure at all being in yet another multi-starrer project.
“Race was a successful film, which is why it also makes a big difference (in choosing Race 2). The Race franchise is so big that being a part of it always helps,” John said. “For example, Housefull 2! Irrespective of whatever people said, kids love it, people love it too and the film went on to earn Rs. 120 crores. It was fun. Akshay and I really get along very well, so in the film, it was like going back to my own home and having fun with my elder brother,” John added after a pause.
And John maintained there was no pressure at all, even though the first ‘Race’ was such a super success.“The pressure was very less. And it is still less, because I have seen the film,” smiled the charismatic star.
