MUMBAI: Yes folks, our favourite on-screen couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla are together again, if only for a new pizza store launch in Mumbai. We got to feast our eyes on little more than the delicious pizzas on display, with the 90’s superhit pair of SRK and Juhi in the same frame, after such a long time!
London’s favourite pizza brand: ‘Pizza Metro Pizza’ launched a restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai last evening. And who better to invite for the launch than the King of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan himself. Accompanying him was his most adored co-star from the 90’s, Juhi Chawla and her husband, Jay Mehta (who coincidentally co-owns Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team)
Shah Rukh looked unusually disheveled in a pair of faded denims, a white shirt and a navy blue cardigan. His hair made us believe he’s certainly trying out the “just-out-of-bed” look, and his facial hair indicated he hadn’t had a good shave in days. Not a look we care to see our King in! In comparison, Juhi looked fresh and lovely (and not a day older than 30: filmmakers, are you listening?) in a cream coloured shirt and brown satin pants. Her husband Jay kept it crisp in a semi-formal blazer and jeans.
The pizza store launch was certainly a fun-filled, superstarry affair with the presence of the Baadshah of Bollywood in the thick of things. Reportedly, Shah Rukh sampled some of the delicious Italian fare on offer, and was bowled over by the famous foot-long pizza. He was a tad disappointed though that ‘Pizza Metro Pizza’ doesn’t serve chicken on their pizzas, and had to make do with their beef, pork and seafood toppings. For we all know how much SRK loves his tandoori chicken!
