Sridevi long with Boney Kapoor were seen in the rural belt of Agra as they participated in a roadshow in support of Rashtriya Lok Dal Candidate from Fatehpur Sikri Parliamentary Constituency, Amar Singh, on Tuesday, April 08, 2014.
The roadshow began from Rohta crossing on Agra-Gwalior Road, around fifteen kilometres from Agra, when Amar Singh along with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor reached at around 12 pm. The entourage then moved towards Shamshabad via, Itaura, Baad, Kurra Mod, Tehra, Rajpura and Iradat Nagar on an open vehicle.
At Kurra-Chittarpur, supporters from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) showed black flags to Amar Singh and raised slogans in favour of Narendra Modi. Taking a break in between, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor took rest for around half-an-hour at the house of a supporter Munesh Kumar Gupta in Iradat Nagar.
The huge crowd that gathered with the road show led to traffic jam on main road in Iradat Nagar for around an hour till the fleet left for Shamshabad.
Sridevi was very happy to be a part of the roadshow and stated that the main reason she is here is because of the immense regards she has for Amar Singh. According to Sridevi, Amar Singh is a man of commitment and a friend who would always stand-up for what is right.
“We are in Agra to support Amar Singh as a friend. We hope he wins the election as he has the ability to carry out development.” stated Sridevi.
The crowd went ballistic seeing both Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. Not only youngsters but women and children too came out on the roads to get a glimpse of the Bollywood diva and walked along her vehicle for around five hours raising slogans in favour of Amar Singh who accompanied them.
Amar Singh is pitted against Samajwadi Party’s Pakshlika Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party’s Choudhary Babu Lal.
