Popular writer-director Mahesh Bhatt marks his acting debut and he is the driving force of the film. His dialogue deliveries and expressions are relatively good than the rest of the cast. Besides him, Kay Kay Menon steals the show with his impressive performance. He appropriately depicts the pain of losing money and power in life. Rest others including Avii and Alisha Seema Khan are good.
It takes one second to finish life but what takes to live with what life throws on you. Director Tariq Khan brings an emotional tale on the harsh realities of life. The film beautifully touches upon the lives of people who decide to end their lives after facing the wrath of bitter life. Narrated at the backdrop of Mumbai city, the story revolves around five different plots that shows people dealing with separate issues.
However, the pace of the film is slow but keeps you hooked throughout till the last frame. The Dark Side of Life: Mumbai City is a powerful film which exposes the reality of the dark side that people aren’t aware of. The film is a socially relevant drama which has an universal appeal. Overall, Director Tariq Khan’s social drama is a must watch.
