There’s No Truth To Divorce News: Chitrangada Singh

Chitrangada Singh has lashed out against headlines and television reports claiming she has obtained a divorce by "mutual consent" with her golfer husband of 12 years Jyoti Randhawa.

MUMBAI: Chitrangada Singh has lashed out against headlines and television reports claiming she has obtained a divorce by “mutual consent” with her golfer husband of 12 years Jyoti Randhawa.

The actress denies the report completely. She says: “It’s not true. There’s a mistake there (in the news report). There’s no truth to this.”

Most recently, Chitrangada Singh and Jyoti Randhawa were reportedly seen filing a mutual consent divorce in Gurgaon court.  “A divorce plea had been filed in the family court on Friday following irreconcilable difference between the couple,” say several media reports.

But the actress says, “We were at the court for an internal settlement of a property issue so our family was in and out of court the entire day. Because of which there is an obvious speculation.”

Constant speculation over her marriage has left Chitrangda and her family deeply disturbed, as sources elucidate that the trips to court were merely to address property settlement issues and in no way had any connection to her marriage. A friend of the actress says: “Such speculation is a part and parcel of all long-distance marriages.”
